Concerns regarding the ownership of Swachh Bio have been raised by the opposition in Telangana during the Chief Minister's tour of the United States.
There are claims suggesting that the company was established merely days prior to the Chief Minister's visit, with allegations that the Chief Minister's brother held the position of director.

Intensifying its criticism of the Congress government in Telangana, led by A Revanth Reddy, the opposition party BRS has posed inquiries regarding the ownership of Swachh Bio, a company specializing in lignocellulosic biofuels, which has declared its investment in Telangana amid the Chief Minister's current visit to the United States.
The BRS party has asserted that Reddy's trip to the United States is primarily for the benefit of his family, alleging that the Chief Minister's brothers stand to gain from a Rs. 1000 crore agreement with Swachh Bio. The Opposition has pointed out that the company was established just days prior to the Chief Minister's visit to the US, and that one of the Chief Minister's brothers holds a directorial position within the company.
On Tuesday, an official statement was released announcing that, in the presence of Reddy and his team, Swachh Bio will establish a 250KLPD second-generation cellulosic biofuels plant in Telangana.
During a press conference on Wednesday, BRS leader Manne Krishank made significant allegations regarding the Chief Minister's US visit. Citing reports from newspapers, he claimed that a Rs. 1000 crore deal with Swachh Bio, a company allegedly owned by the Chief Minister's family and only two weeks old, was finalized, raising serious concerns about nepotism and the potential for family dominance in governance.
Krishank asserted that the inaugural director of Swachh Bio is Vedavalli Sivananda Reddy, who operates a bar in Uttar Pradesh, while the second director is Anumula Jagadeesh Reddy, the brother of the Chief Minister. He noted that neither individual was present at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Krishank further mentioned that Harsha Pasunoori, acting as a proxy for the Chief Minister's brother, appeared in a photograph alongside the Chief Minister. He highlighted that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs revealed that Swachh Bio was founded in July, raising questions about how a newly established company could obtain a deal worth ₹1,000 crore.
The company has declared a capital investment exceeding ₹1,000 crore in its initial phase, which is expected to create employment opportunities for 250 individuals at the facility, along with an additional 250 positions in support and other capacities. The agreement was executed by Praveen Paripati, Chairperson of Swachh Bio.
Krishank did not cease his inquiries at this point. He further probed the rationale behind the presence of a substantial entourage of 30 individuals accompanying the Chief Minister to the United States, suggesting that this was intended to advance his brother's business interests and facilitate their establishment.
Additionally, he called upon Congress leaders to address these accusations, while also highlighting a questionable deal worth Rs. 830 crore with Walsh Karra, another controversial firm. The BRS intends to intensify the matter further.
Although the Chief Minister's office refrained from commenting on the situation, a tweet from Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries and IT Department and a member of the delegation, was issued later in the evening. It stated that the ongoing visit to America was progressing well in attracting investments that would aid in the development of Telangana.
Ranjan noted his decade-long experience in negotiating agreements with global leaders on behalf of the state. He affirmed that, as a dedicated public servant, he would prioritize the interests of Telangana, as conveyed in the tweet from the Chief Minister's Public Relations Office.
